Volunteer Waiver & Release of Liability

 

By volunteering with Long Island Junior Anglers, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

 

1. Voluntary Participation

I understand that my participation as a volunteer is voluntary and unpaid. I choose to participate at my own discretion.

 

2. Assumption of Risk

I understand that fishing and outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: hooks and fishing equipment, water-related hazards, weather conditions, and uneven terrain. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.

 

3. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Long Island Junior Anglers, its organizers, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, illness, loss, or damage that may occur while participating in events.

4. Responsibility & Conduct

I agree to act responsibly, follow all safety guidelines, and help create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all participants, especially children.

5. Working with Youth

I understand I may be interacting with children ages 5–13 and agree to behave in an appropriate, respectful, and supportive manner at all times.

6. Emergency Situations

In the event of an emergency, I agree to notify an event organizer immediately and follow instructions provided.

7. Media Release

I grant permission for photos or videos taken during events that may include me to be used for promotional purposes (website, social media, etc.).

8. Personal Responsibility

I understand that I am responsible for my own personal belongings and actions while volunteering.
